Baller of the Month - Version 0.8
Definition
The award is meant to showcase an individual on the NCDA website. This player is awarded Baller of the Month for the month in which the award is first posted, which typically happens around the 15th of the month. The August Baller of the Month is presented on or around August 15, until on or around the 15 of September.
Awardable Criteria
The Award is meant to showcase interesting players in the League. Therefore, there is a small discouragement on choosing Team Captains. Players with any type of play, enthusiasm, and dedication to either their team or the League may be selected. Further, alumni and staff may also be selected for recognition on their work for the NCDA.
Length of Time
Baller of the Month is awarded around the 15th of the month and ideally has a duration of about one month. Besides the name dictating the period, the NCDA seasonal schedule starts and ends more conveniently on the halves of the month. Nationals is traditionally the first weekend of April, for instance.
BOTM Banner
A banner of the Baller is shown in a prominent place on the site, which links to a post showcasing the baller. Past banners can be found in the Media Archive, as well as the current template.
Showcase Post
The website post detailing the Baller describes how the Baller got the award. Structure for this is not very strict, but usually includes a short bit of content to provide a slight bit of entertainment. A popular option is an interview with the potential Baller.
