Let UNT know when your spring tournament is, Perrone. We'll officially be an approved sport club by the start of the spring semester and I'd love to have a Sun Belt tournament

That would be awesome! We'll definitely figure something out for the spring! Maybe we can meet at some school between us so neither one of us has to drive forever long haha.

If I have a spare moment tomorrow I'll contact someone at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, it's about a 6 hour drive for y'all, 6.5 for us, and 5 for NSULA. We can have a little three-way tournament and showcase dodgeball for UALR to try and recruit them into the NCDA.

That would be badass, let me know how it goes! If you need my help in any way don't hesitate to contact me
btw still have no idea what a "hill topper" is. Apparently neither does anyone on your football team, either.

That's why the freshman 15 is technically the freshman 12.5 at Bowling Green Also, records updated after GV-MSU's match. Check your games for any loose and unrecorded info please!

Hey-
Just noticed that our region code on the standings spreadsheet that we were in MD, but we're in VA.

while the regions don't really matter during the season, they only recently played a part in last year's Nationals saturday pool play.
You're clustered in MD because i personally felt it logical to create a new region for the east coast teams, rather than add to The Ohio. Nebraska, K-State, and Wisconsin are clumped in with the IL region in a similar fashion. But we might change the region stuff around in the future.

We weren't able to play any of the playoff games as we planned to because of time constraints, but we were able to get all the round robin games which is the most important part. A lot of good games played out, especially the Kent - Ohio State game, went all the way down to the wire. It's a shame VCU couldn't come out because that would have made the field a little more diverse with new teams to play, but things happen.
For our first tournament hosted, we thought it went pretty well, did not expect nearly that many fans to attend, because we didn't really get to advertise it all that much. It is starting to grow as a sport at JMU, and everyone really enjoyed the time they had watching us.
Our players got a little rowdy in games because for some of them it was the first tournament they've played in, please forgive us there.
Here are the results of yesterday's matches:
JMU 6 - Miami 0 Towson 0 - Ohio State 9 Maryland 1 - Kentucky 5 JMU-JV 0 - Maryland 8 Miami 7 - Towson 0 Kent 3 - Ohio State 2 JMU-JV 1 - Towson 9 Ohio State 3 - Miami 1 Kentucky 1 - Kent 3 JMU 14 - Towson 1 Kent 4 - Maryland 2 JMU 3 - Ohio State 2 (OT) Kentucky 3 - Miami 1 JMU-JV 0 - Kent State 2 [Stopped after two points and switched up teams]
Kent State (3-0) JMU (3-0) Kentucky (2-1) Ohio State (2-1) Maryland (1-2) Miami (1-2) Towson (0-3)
Thanks to all teams that came out and played. It was great to see the faces of some new teams, and is a pleasure of course to see the teams we have met before. Hopefully next year, we can consider some things we can do to improve, especially with the time situation, and crank out even a better tournament.

I thought we were going to count the Final game with Kent vs JMU, I know we only got to play 1 half, but that was due to the the court reservations running out rather than either team wanting to quit. I mean before the game started you asked if we would want to count it and I thought there was agreement that the final decision would be made by the league but that we would try to. Kent 3 - JMU 1 (at halftime)
This was a great tournament, more details later.

If you guys want to let it count, I don't mind.
I thought we were just doing what OSU/UMD was doing on the other court and count it as exhibition. But for us, we aren't really too worried about our record.

I would like to count it, since it was the undefeated teams from separate pools going against each other.

I like it. If Zig or whoever might be in control of the standings could make that change, it would be much appreciated.

SVSU vs GVSU @ SVSU. As if that weren't enough hype it's SVSU's senior night, and all of this is taking place on St. Patricks day! That really provides some spectacular promoting opportunities (I'm getting a vibe that SVSU's home crowd will be the 16th & 17th man on the court). This should be considered one of the most intense matches of the season.
So please for the love of Dodgeball can someone make sure that there is quality video of this match up?
