It wouldnt speed up play at all if shot clock was lowered. It would increase the number of balls thrown just to kill the shot cloc and not intended to someone. Also when you get down to 5 or less people they will only run out of balls if the team above five players just throw one ball at a time. You ought to be group throwing when you have a man and ball advantage like that.

I think play would speed up a ton if the shot clock were lowered, but the quality of play would suffer. A lot more scrambling and less organization.

We did a scrimmage last night at practice where we all had a 10 sec shot clock the entire time. It was madness, but so much fun. The game play was significantly faster, but like you said, there was less organization.
