Silly children, there's no life after college!
If I may make a suggestion, developing city leagues under an MLD moniker might be the way to go about it. NCDA teams know that travel and cost is a factor for players. This becomes more true when you're paying back all those refund checks you got from the student loan people. Bowling Green playing Chicago, for example, would be pretty ambitious.
Creating 8-team city or county leagues with 10-man teams, however, seems doable. Bowling Green, for example, has 15,000-20,000 people in that precious 25-44 demographic, to say nothing of the surrounding area. You can put together a solid 7 -week season and double-elim tournament out of that.

I don't know how interested I'll be in playing dodgeball after college, as it really depends on where one of these teams will be located and where I am. At some point though, it would make sense if there's a local team and a post-college league that plays with 8.5" rubber balls and adopts the neutral zone, that we'd all play. I'd be up for that. I just have no desire to pick up a new style of dodgeball at this point in my life.

Well crap. You know i am in. If my fingers are bleeding once a week i feel like i have failed in my life.
May i make a suggestion?
Lets have state teams. I think the Kentucky team could be quite good with several great dodgeball minds. I understand the powerhouse that would be a Michigan alumni team but we could really get some great teams with all those that really loved this game beyond college.

I'd play if there was a team near me (moving to Madison, WI in June)

I am extremely interested in this as well. I like idea of getting to play with players outside of the limits of college. Not saying that my teammates are awesome, cause they darn well know they are, but getting to play a full game with rubber balls with players not only from other schools but with other outstanding dodgeballers is right up my ally. Count me in.

I would be interested. After I left Oakland, the team faded away as well. I've been wanting to play for a few years now
