We are asking for suggestions and discussions about this topic since it always seems to be a hot issue.

Per Dylan Fettig:
National tournament -
Season play determines rankings, rankings determine pools of three. Teams play all the other teams in their pool. The top two of each pool move on to the championship bracket for Sunday. The bottom two (or the rest) move into the consulation bracket. Sunday play is a double elimination tournament for each bracket.

There's a lot of potential discussion in this thread! I am going to try to finish off the 4 ranking systems documentation. In the Captains' Meeting, Colin mentioned we were trying to delineate the successes and shortcomings of each system. I'll try to clean those documents up and post them somewhere. Those gears are turning. Also, Dylan brought up a very good note within the Captains' Meeting about which system had the least amount of upsets and using the Nationals 2015 results to determine which system was statistically more likely to handle that. It's a great idea that I put into a pivotal tracker story. www.pivotaltracker.com/story/show/92374344

I personally liked how it was done this past nationals, minus the "we should have our seeds switched because we didn't drive out here to play against one another" shenanigans.

From my opinion, yes the seeds should have remained as they were. Teams already received unique games on Saturday. In that situation, Sunday's bracket had to fall based ranking.
But I thought the Executive Board making an immediate vote on the issue was a good way to address the issue.

Yeah and to be fair I totally get why they would want to to do that, but changing a team's seed on the fly after the fact that it's been announced just because they don't like it isn't necessarily helping with the integrity of our league.

So everyone isn't against scheduling Day One of Nationals as:
One Requested Game One Unique Matchup One Evenly Matched Game
