If nothing else it'd be a nice thing for the office when you're out in the real world and looking for something cooler than a paperweight. A rolling 8lb paperweight, good idea. :-D Ya, i looked into and found that site to. But I was more of looking into how the printer would actually go about it. Because maybe i'd want to finagle it myself. Shirts are nice and flat and easy to press, dodgeballs are round and squishy. I don't know. Also, I was more saying i'd rather want a couple of balls versus the entire team getting shirts, for something like a smaller event like Kentucky's. Although I did rather like the Nationals shirt last year, that s- was fly, a nice two color and good design.

If invited, CMU would love to be apart of this.

CMU you are first on the waitlist. There are two schools that I am waiting to hear back from. They wanted me to hold it for about a week or so. If nothing happens in that time its yours.

The last slot in the Invitational is being held for 7 days(October 22nd) for a team that asked me too earlier in the week. If they do not confirm then the spot goes to CMU. If an additional team drops out the slot goes to Grand Valley State. Sorry for the confusion on this last slot. Things were a little chaotic when no one responded for a while and then everyone responded at once. Send an email to me at kentuckydodgeball@gmail.com for any particulars you have about being the last slot in.
Now onto more pleasant news, I believe we will be able to have a social the night before the tournament. This will be something for all of the teams to relax and mingle off the court. There will be pool tables, ping pong tables, video games, and dance dance revolution the entire time. I will also have food provided:pizza, cake, chips&salsa, chex mix, lemonade and water there as of right now. We will also have whatever games from this year, of teams who have game film playing up on a big screen.
This will be on campus in the student center so no alcohol will be allowed there however, after this you all are welcome to go visit the bars which are right down the street. I have also been looking into getting the balls done and it is not looking good for this tournament mainly because there will only be around 160 players in the tournament and 300 balls required for that ball designer guy. (Which would run at least $900 just for balls.) Another option is for us (UK) to make a stencil and do it ourselves. We will look into that option. If you are attending the tournament and have a preference shirts, balls or both; email me at kentuckydodgeball@gmail.com for that information.
Thanks!

Special printed dodgeballs would be awesome. Maybe something we could look into for nationals? Totally up to WKU obviously. Either way, the Kentucky Invite looks like it's gonna be great and so does nationals.

Hey Zac, you can put DePaul down as confirmed. After a few hours of cozying up to our budget, we'll have enough to make two trips to Kentucky with a little to spare. Just gotta hope we get all we ask for - it might be about $1616 for us if you're curious. I did all that math, someone has to see it. But thanks for being patient while I sorted it out.
Also, I sent you an email about the tournament fee

If anyone is making funding requests for this tournament feel free to email me for a formal (inflated if needed) quote back in order to receive your funding. Expect an email from me to all teams in the tournament to go out on October 22nd.

Eastern Michigan University filled the last slot.
Firstly. if everyone that is in the tournament can send me an email stating one team that they want and/or don't want in their pool I will adjust it accordingly.
Secondly, how many players will you be taking? (A guess is fine)
Lastly, if you are staying in Lexington on Friday night let me know and how many rooms do you think you all want? So I can work with some numbers for the social and confirm the # of hotel rooms we get as a group. (If we do this now it is cheaper than waiting)
Just email me at kentuckydodgeball@gmail.com (The first to email me get there request on who they play dealt with first-Thanks DePaul!)

I already looked into the personally printed balls for the National Tournament, the cheapest I could find would be $3.25 per ball with a $125 service fee and (here's the kicker) a 300 order minimum. I just don't see it being fiscally responsible or realistic to get 300 balls haha

Felix, One thing to thing about is if every team walks out with 20 balls each team would pay $65 for the balls and $7.82 for the fee per team with it coming to $72.81. If you get all of the teams to agree to pay $75 for balls for the upcoming year it could be a possibility. (With a 20 man roster it costs each player $3.75 a player) I don't know about other teams but we pop balls frequently and just had to order 17...
So if every year at Nationals we have the host team order balls for the upcoming year for all of the teams we would have uniform balls for all of the teams in the league...
