Idk if there is a rule for this but here is the situation. A player on team A throws a ball and hits one of the players on his own team. The ball continues to team B and a player on team B catches the ball. Is it a dead ball or is it a catch?

I've always been of the opinion that this is a catch... of the person who was originally hit by the ball.

This has got to be a dead ball. It hit an object that wasn't part of the person who threw it.

3. Dead ball – A thrown ball that hits another ball, the floor, the ceiling, a player on the same team as the player that threw the ball.
It's a dead ball.
