All,
We have decided to create two more positions on the NCDA Executive Board to help alleviate the workload of the current positions, along with bringing on new ideas to help reflect the growth of our organization. Nominations will remain open until 11:59pm Eastern Time June 23th. Voting will be conducted June 24-June 28. New officers will take their seat starting July 1st. We will now open the floor for nominations for the following positions:
*New* Director of Officiating
Term: 2 Years (Starts on 'odd' years with President and Treasurer)
Duties: Managing the Rulebook Committee, managing the Officiating Staff, and maintaining the Records
Power: One vote on Executive Board
*New* Director of Community Relations (One Year Interim Position)
Term: 2 Years (Starts on 'even' years with Chief of Content and DoLE)
Duties: Managing the Office of Alumni Relations, creating and maintaining relationships with charities, and assisting other directors on tasks related to the benefit of the organization.
Power: One vote on Executive Board
The Office of the President
Term: 2 Years
Duties: Acting as the public face of the organization, maintaining the policies and constitution of the NCDA, assisting all other board members with their duties, making official announcements on behalf of the organization, staying up-to-date on all policies and procedures for 501(c)(3) organizations in the United States, voting on all decisions made for the organization, establishing and maintaining relationships with potential sponsors and other shared-interest organizations in the United States, maintaining and promoting the success of the NCDA, and doing any task deemed necessary.
Power: One vote on Executive Board
The Office of the Treasurer
Term: 2 Years
Duties: Keep up with laws and regulations associated with finances in nonprofit organizations under the parameters outlined under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States of America, bank account maintenance (maintain relationship with bank, signing checks, and investing excess funds wisely under the parameters outlined under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of the United States of America), Financial transaction oversight (Being knowledgeable about who has access to the organization’s funds, and any outstanding bills or debts owed, as well as developing systems for keeping cash flow manageable.), Budgets (Developing the annual budget as well as comparing the actual revenues and expenses incurred against the budget.), Financial Policies (Overseeing the development and observation of the organization's financial policies), Reports (Keeping the board regularly informed of key financial events, trends, concerns, and assessment of fiscal health in addition to completing required financial reporting forms in a timely fashion and making these forms available to the board.), Collecting annual membership dues from each represented Member Team, Creating invoices, Filing annual federal taxes, Seeking guidance from outside sources when questions arise.
Power: One vote on Executive Board

No one school may occupy a majority of the seats on the NCDA Executive Board. So GVSU may only occupy one more seat on the Executive Board.
