Hey Im starting the OU team, but the university requires us to have insurance. Does anyone else have to do this? If so, can someone lead me to a company that I can get insurance from?

That being the case, your best bet might to check with other clubs or your school's club sport coordinator in the event that a national affiliate does not offer insurance. By way of example, I'm fairly certain the Oklahoma Badminton team does not have insurance through USA Badminton, as " layers are responsible to organize their own personal and injury insurance" according to the USA Badminton website. If your club sport director would like to get in touch with someone at the NCDA, let me know and I can make the relevant calls or letters or whatever needs doing.

At OSU it is very similiar. We are supposed to have some form of insurance as students and then sign waivers saying we aren't going to sue the school if we get hurt while using the school facilities. Hopefully you don't need to have a separate insurance just for dodgeball.

DePaul also has an insurance policy-
Team members that travel must register their health insurance. One of our players, a senior this year, hasn't been able to go to nationals for the last three years because he doesn't have insurance.
Also, everyone that comes to our 'practices' must sign a waiver saying they won't sue DePaul for getting hurt while using the facilities.
