I wanted to make a post here about this. Cole asked me to make a promo video that I think he wanted to be shown on the TV's in our student union or something (he never really explained it that well besides "make a video"). He wanted me to do it because he knew I had pictures of our team from the past 2 national tournaments. What he didn't know was I found a website to convert youtube videos to a .avi format which is compatible with the free editing program I was planning on using. So I converted youtube videos graciously uploaded by Josh Raymer of WKU and Kyle Fitzpatrick of Kent State. I also stole and photoshopped the opening photo from Kyle Fitzpatricks facebook. (I stole it after nationals this year when our team was talking while kent was on one of many smoke breaks, and he mentioned he had the ultimate dodgeball photo in the history of history)
What I did could be charitably described as "borrowing" and uncharitably be described as stealing. So I wanted to post here to say thank you/sorry to Raymer and KFitz. Also, sorry to the WKU dodgeball team who get kinda abused in the highlights because it was the only workable film on youtube besides the Lantern video (our school newspaper) and the NBC4 Columbus story on us from a few years back (which both also got used).
Finally, I would like to say the song in the background is from Bristol to Memory. The reason I chose them is because I played Little League with the bassist and I really like the song. Some might call it favoritism, but f*** them I did all the work.
Anyway, here is the result...
tl;dr version: Sweet Video. Sorry to Raymer, KFitz, and WKU
