could anyone from depaul, gvsu, or anyone else that went to the tournament describe the tournament? was it run well? how many teams were there? were the balls super inflated or grippable? was it worth it?

The tournament was run pretty well with the exception of having a 40+ min break between round robin play and the playoffs to play last dodgeballer standing.....the balls were ridiculously overinflated, by the end of the day most of them were egg shaped not spheres... i was able to grip some of them, it just took some throws to get used to. There were 11 teams there and It was worth it to me, but i didnt have anything to do that day because it took 5 hours in the middle of the day

the balls were overinflated to bursting. but as the day went on they all got little itty bitty holes in them that allowed them to deflate some, which made throwing a tad bettter. over all the tourny was really fun except for the rediculous rules they had. but well run

Yeah, I talked to them and got them to allow us to grip and I knew they were going to over inflate them so we couldn't grip anyway.

The balls were not fully inflated, they were over inflated and beyond the balls limit of manufacture. It didn't stop anyone from gripping, from my observation probably 75-85% of people were gripping and the rest barely tried throwing. Over inflation just made it harder on everyone's fingers.

There is video up on the midwest dodgeball website. The balls were grippable, but my fingers are just now recovering.

There were several pretty good teams. That being said, any school who brought six solid players would have been in pretty good position to win the tournament.
