The NCDA tournament and individual tournament trophies are all well and good, but it feels like there should be an award for the year as a whole. Having a very good team isn't enough - the interest has to be there to play a whole lot of games. It seems like a team that wants to play a ton of dodgeball should get some recognition.
Regular season trophy: Good idea, bad idea?

Might be a little biased. But I think it's a good idea.

Probably gonna be alone on this but I don't think there should be a regular season trophy. We should make note of the final standings, and people should be congratulated on winning/playing the most games, but there shouldn't be a regular season trophy. I just think it's kind of meaningless

I'm with Hiller on this one. I think the team that is at the top at the end should be congratulated and recognized. But I don't think a regular season trophy would matter when the main prize is still the national trophy. This is how I feel a tleast until the league grows and the seasons are conducted in a different style.

It should be for the most amount of games played in the regular season, not just the #1 seed point standings going into Nationals.

I agree with Zig on that, if we do have a regular season trophy it should be towards whoever plays the most games

I don't know how I feel about that. Yes we want to reward people for playing the most games, but I think that would come with competition between teams wanting to win the most games.
Best case scenario would be to have two trophys: One to the team that won the regular season, and one to the team that played the most different teams: aka "Diplomatic Trophy"

I would favor the most games over the most games won, or two trophies. Just because playing the most games increase league activity and growth by association. Also it would be an award every team would have a more legitimate chance at regardless of current players skill. So I would lean away from it being about the wins because if you have the most wins then you already have the #1 seed at nationals, and you have probably collected a few trophies over the season already (or at the very least a ton of wins).
But Most Games Played would be the league recognizing the commitment that they put into their season.
