Just trying to get a thread of subjects that need to be discussed at the captains meeting so it doesn't take all year. Off the top of my head I can think of the following subject and people who have lead the charge on them:
Gopher ball sponsorship (Ziggy) Becoming a non profit organization (Bomis) Slaughter rule (Fitz, Brown, Hess) Podcast & Website info / fees (Ziggy, Hiller, McCarthy) Site of 2013 Nationals (Schlundt, Ziggy, Brown)
and probably some of the usual rule debates i.e. legitimate throws, traps, and shot clock rules.
That's just off the top of my head if there are any other major things I've missed out on let me know and I'll added it to the list.
Added: Time outs & shot clocks (Trippiedi) Opening rush check in (Hiller) Rule clarification 3.1.1 (Felix, Ziggy)

I just added a proposed rule change/addition to the timeouts rule if people can get a chance to look at that before this weekend

I would also like to bring up the opening rush situation, we have had one season of the new rush and I would like to hear all the teams' opinions on the new rush. I'm not suggesting we change it or anything, I just want to hear everyone's opinions about it, and if we change it we change it and if we keep it we keep it.

Rule changes from the Captains meeting -
Mercy Rule - In order to prevent teams from being murdered and potentially ruining their chances of being an established NCDA team a mercy rule was created. If a losing team is down by 5 points they have an option of activating the game clock to a running clock. Only the losing team has this option
Timeouts - Timeouts will now lower the shot clock for the team who is NOT calling a time out. If a time out is called the opposing teams shot clock will be rounded down to the nearest increment of 0, 5 or 10 to prevent teams from using their time outs as a tool for forcing bad shot clock throws off the whistle causing countless arguments. 0-4 Shotclock with time out called = Shot clock down to 0 5-9 Shotclock with time out called = Clock set at 5 10-14 Shotclock with time out called = Clock set at 10 Example - Team A with a shot clock of 9 calls a timeout with Team B's shot clock at 14. Team B's clock would be lowered to 10 seconds while Team A's would stay the same at 9 seconds since they initiated the time out.
No changes to the opening rush how ever the Overtime format seems to be in question
