it's probably up there with the CMU/GVSU championship game at Nationals 2011. Not the same level, but close. At least from my perspective.

Easily top 5 game of all time in my book. May not be number 1 in my book (SVSU vs GVSU Final Four OT last year will always be my #1) but I was shaking from the adrenaline and I was only the ref.

Aside from the final outcome, it was probably the most fun I've had playing dodgeball. Best game I've played in a relatively short career so far.
But seriously, a game decided by literally a half second in overtime? You can't write this stuff...

I feel like the neutral zone is huge, is it supposed to almost reach the three-point line?!

its pretty much the same as IM West at state...and both throw lines are 30 ft from the back lines so its good.
ive played plenty of places with small neutral zones, which makes the rush really intimidating

Man alive... not to instill controversy (oh who are we kidding, of course I am - it gives us something to talk about) but going from that footage alone I don't know I would've/could've called either player out and would've gone with the double fault procedure. I'm sure Spencer had a much cleaner view on that, mind you, but I'm having trouble tracking that without a frame-by-frame program. Makes the game that much more interesting.

If you see the footage my view was focused on the MSU player, I had to make the call on the GVSU off my other 3 refs. Looking at the footage from the one angle we have now though...I think I blew the call....

I hereby nickname you Jim Joyce.

I wouldn't consider it that you blew the call i would more say its one of those things that you as an official can't see both things happing at once as in terms of which dodgeball became dead first.
With that said Bomis has a good point with not being able to call someone out. If something this close were to happen again the the 3.4.6.1 do over is probably in the rules for that reason. Even though I hate do overs in competitive sports.

Someone anonymously emailed me this photo of Spencer. I think it helps explain a lot:
