* A ton of parity in the Great Lakes state - two games went to OT, and if not for a critical end-of-half miscue there would have been a third. * Captains for all teams seemed less effective than expected, in part due to teams deliberately burying them in the out line. I'll be interested to see how this affects other schools in April * All four are unquestionably beatable. Very real chance for Kentucky, James Madison, and the rest of the league to knock the Michigan teams off their pedestal this year and reclaim the NCDA trophy for the first time since 2006. * MSU has been hit by a serious injury bug. For that matter, recruitment has taken a hit as well. Fielding a full team next year could become a concern unless the entire roster gets to work on attracting new members.
Grand Valley State University your tournament champions, going 3-0 on the day.

Very good insight. At one point against MSU the only people in our out line were all of our capitains. I guess it comes with the territory of playing eachother so much, everyone knows who to focus on. We had a lot of production from our back half of the roster to close points.
Also recruitment has been a big issue for several teams. CMU had to pick people up off the street to field a full team (and somehow they were still a force), not sure when the last time I've seen a new face on states team was, and we have had the smallest group of freshman ever this year. I honestly can't figure out why we don't have thousands of recruits every year, I mean who in their right mind wouldn't want to hit people with rubber balls???

Every team needs at least one or two guys with infectious optimism, that just always seem to have that positive energy that flows to the rest of the team. For example, this guy. When you have guys like that, people tend to have more fun, and when people have more fun, they tend to bring in friends to enjoy that fun.

GVSU vs SVSU was again another instant classic. As was MSU vs SVSU, I hope we got footage of the games.

I believe we got photos, but I'm not sure about videos. I'll post any pictures I find so people can use them for their websites.

Recruiting tends to be difficult when you get new people at practice and Bryce just tries to blast them all in the face and they don't show up next time.... Seriously though.
