Just a few thoughts I had regarding Nationals 2013:
-GVSU affirmed my belief that they're the best team in the country. They had to go through JMU, UK, and MSU to win the title. That's impressive.
-Kevin Bailey is going to be the new "Best Player in the NCDA". I knew he was legit when he basically won the OT point for GVSU against us in December, but the National Title Game he tore us to shreds. He's quick, powerful throw that's hard to catch, and he can catch really well.
-JMU is going to be really good next year, if they can get their accuracy down (I know I've said that a lot in the podcast this year) and figure out how to save their arms at Nationals. They're the most athletic team in the country.
-UWP is going to be awesome next year if they can get some guys to catch. They're starting to get strategy down, and they throw HARD. Great team, great bunch of guys.
-UK as always is a great team too. They might have the most power arms in the country this past season. I don't know who all they lose, but they should be among the Nation's elite again next year.
-I hope CMU gets a full 20 or even 15 people next year, because they've got a solid core of players.
-Penn State may be our rival, but those guys are awesome. They grew so much from their first point to their last, and I'm proud of them.
-Zac did a great job with Nationals, and this was one of the best weekends of my life.
-For the All Star Game we need to limit players on the court so people have room to move. It may have looked awesome for the fans but honestly it was too much to play in at points.
-Alumni vs All Stars was great though. Keep both the ASG and the Alumni Game OSU!!!!
-7 games of dodgeball and 2 All Star Games is a lot, and I'm mentally and physically exhausted from the weekend, but it was amazing. I would do it over again in a heartbeat.
-I'm incredibly proud of my guys (and girl) for playing the best dodgeball in the history of MSU's team. Nearly coming back vs UK, the two biggest wins in program history, and making the title game is crazy to me after how much we sucked in my Freshman year.
-I'm glad that our league is the way it is. There may be a handful of players that get under my skin, but there's not a single player I truly dislike in the NCDA. One of my favorite parts of Nationals is getting to see friends you don't normally get to see (like Mark Trippiedi, Wes "Chris Bosh" Peters, Felix Perrone, etc etc) but also meeting new people (a lot of the JMU/Towson guys, the PSU guys, etc) and its great.
Feel free to add your own!
