But it's not like girls are not allowed to play dodgeball. They have just as much right to be on the court as men do. Maybe, when it comes time they had created a mens and a womens team?

That is such Bull too. I hate that crap. I'm not saying girls can't play sports but we are not allowed to play a sport because girls don't have another sport to play. Because you have to have equal number of sports for both sexes and crap.

Volleyball couldn't be one of them. There are so many colleges that have Men's Varisty Volleyball programs. And even if it was volleyball, there is only 15-20 girls on a volleyball team.

I thought I remembered a while ago someone mentioned putting together a "media packet" of sorts all about our league, how we play, how a new team can get involved, etc.? Did that ever come to fruition? If not, I think we should really think about putting something like that together. Once we have that, each of us in our own respective regions can begin spreading the word by sending these media packets to other schools in our areas. Maybe even traveling to some schools and holding information sessions for the anyone at the school who is interested. All we need to do is plant the seed and offer some type of support in the form of ideas for getting a club started at these schools.
I know this belongs in the "new teams" thread, but even Illinois for example has a plenty of large schools that have dodgeball intramurals, but not club dodgeball teams. I think if schools such as Northwestern, Loyola Chicago, Illinois State U, University of Illinois, etc., to name a few would be great additions to the league, and if each state could add another 5-6 teams, that would get us to 50.

Step 1) REAL SCHEDULE Step 2 ) Real REFS Before you have these two things how can we even consider those kind of thoughts haha

Before those we need more teams. No one can afford to pay for refs and such because everyone is worried about hotel costs, traveling costs and food. Once there is 50 something teams and you don't have to pay $200 a weekend to go play, then we can start paying officials to ref games and get a legit schedule.

Yea but we'd need 50 teams and a legit schedule and refs before we can consider making it an NCAA sport

Stokes, how long have you been playing?

This will be my fifth year playing, I'm getting to be an old man too... but I think Murph was playing on the old school delta team, pre shot clock rule. They'd literally horde 8 balls and just wait for the 2 to come their way. Didn't matter how long it took, they'd get all 10 balls.
