Still waiting to hear from University of Louisville and Ohio State on if they are planning on attending Nationals this year Saginaw Valley State University. If you are a member of one of these two teams please email me sgjardin@svsu.edu - Spencer Jardine - SVSU

Hey Spencer,
couple guys on my team have been wondering how you're gonna do the all-star game this year. Just curious to see what ideas you've come up with.
Also another idea I had would be a "All-NCDA" team that the captains could vote on. Top 20ish players from the tournament.

I like the All NCDA Team idea that would be pretty cool

One thing i've been meaning to request is that in this year's event fee, an extra $10 be included in the final figure from SVSU. That $10 or less goes towards for the NCDA website hosting and registration fees. Each team would pay into the website costs instead of just DePaul. (I use budget surpluses from DePaul's budget to cover the website currently)

I second that, and maybe even bump it up a little more as an incentive to implement some new updates to the site haha!

My made up groups for Nationals (still really bored): I’m assuming that all 19 teams that said they were coming will come, all maybes will come, and both no responses will come (this gives 24 teams, meaning 6 even pools of 4 teams) 4 Ohio teams, 6 MI teams, 5 KY teams, 4 IL teams, 5 MD teams (grouping North Texas and RIT in here) Groups split up like this: 1 MI, 2 OH, 3 KY, 4 IL 1 OH, 2 KY, 3 MD, 4 MI 1 KY, 2 MI, 3 IL, 4 MD 1 MD, 2 IL, 3 MI, 4 KY 1 IL, 2 MD, 3 OH, 5 MI 4 OH, 5 MD, 5 KY, 6 MI Group 1: GVSU, OSU, Louisville, UWP Group 2: Kent State, WKU, Towson, EMU Group 3: Kentucky, SVSU, WIU, North Texas Group 4: JMU, Depaul, MSU, K-State Group 5: Moody, Maryland, Miami, CMU Group 6: BGSU, RIT, NSU, LCC I made these groups randomly, except group 6, which I made so that those teams wouldn’t get blown out. The other groups are made so that everyone plays games outside of their region. Using games won/lost differential* to predict the winners leads to this: 3-0: GVSU, Kent State, SVSU, MSU, CMU, BGSU 2-1: OSU, WKU, UK, JMU, Maryland, LCC 1-2: UWP, EMU, WIU, Depaul, Moody, NSU 0-3: Louisville, Towson, North Texas, K-State, Miami, RIT *only change is CMU over Maryland, due to the fact that CMU is the defending champions. This leads to the following standings after day 1 of Nationals (.8x day 1 points+.2x regular season points): 1.Kent State (9.6) 2. GVSU (6.4) 3. SVSU (6.4) 4. MSU (6.4) 5. UK (5.8) 6. BGSU (5.6) 7. JMU (5) 8. CMU (4.8) 9. OSU (4) 10. WKU 3.6) 11. Maryland (3.6) 12. LCC (3.2) 13. Moody (2.8) 14. Depaul (2.8) 15. WIU (2) 16. UWP (1.6) 17. EMU (1.6) 18. NSU (1.6) 19. Miami (.8) 20. Louisville (0) 21. Towson (0) 22. North Texas( 0) 23. K-State (0) 24. RIT (0) Which leads to the following bracket: www.bracketmaker.com/tlist.cfm?tid=418011My Elite 8: Kent State vs CMU, GVSU vs WKU, SVSU vs Maryland, MSU vs UK Final 4: CMU vs MSU, GVSU vs SVSU Championship: MSU over GVSU (I had to)
