Captains, I am planning on sending out the Nationals Infopacket this weekend with cost of attendance, local hotels, maps, photos of the gyms we will be playing in, all star game format, etc. Anything else you all would like to see in the packet?

Are the packets still coming out this week? I understand that SVSU had some serious celebrating to do this weekend.

Are the packets still coming out this week? I understand that SVSU had some serious celebrating to do this weekend. Just sent it out, all captains please check your emails. If you did not get one let me know. NOT INCLUDED ON THE SHEET! The cut off date for this years Nationals will be March 20th, almost 1 month before the games are to begin. This allows me to be able to create the schedule a head of time and prevent any last minute cancelling.

It would be better for the League identity if that information were just on the NCDA website, so I am currently copypasta it over into a folder.
Anything you want to change you can submit to me and i'll change it up, or you can keep the yola as a reference and I can copy it over when you tell me changes are up. Once we get the CMS up i could label you an admin and you wouldn't need to go all roundabout. There's some work going on with the website

While doing the above i noticed that the event fee includes All Star game shirts... can we revisit the suggestion of each team member wearing their own team's jersey?

I'm a fan of the ASG shirts, getting one last year was awesome. I know its harder to tell whos on what team, but it's just a cool way to prove that you are an all-star.

Quick note - there's a difference between having an ASG shirt and wearing it in the ASG.

While making ASG shirts was cool, i'm still in favor of wearing the Jerseys in the All Star game. Because there is a pride factor of representing your team while every team is watching 1 game. Also I think it is good for other to get to identify the best players in the game. I know everyone on the forums is more or less aware of the top players on most if not all teams, but most teams only have 2-4 people that check the forums. Meaning a fair amount of players (especially the younger ones) don't know the names or teams of some of the best personalities / players in the league. And I think it's important for all the player to see / know the players who have contributed so much to this league.
Also I forget what is the format of the all star game again? I personally am still in favor of dividing it based on the rankings snake style.
So Team A: seeds 1,4,5,8,9,etc
Team B: seeds 2,3,6,7,etc

The format is the following:
"Instead of the 'World vs Michigan' format this year, teams will be picked by drawing names from a hat"
what I want to know is how many players from each team will make the ASG? Right now there are 20 teams coming, and there are 60 players in the game, so the way I see it is we can do it one of two ways:
1. Everyone gets 3 players or 2. Team #1 gets X players, Team #2 gets Y players, Team #3 gets Z players....Team #20 gets A players.
I would personally prefer option 2, because it's more fair to teams who have been playing all season to get their players more recognition. But I can see the arguments for option 1. So Spencer, do you have any idea on what we're going to do?

I vote get rid of the ASG shirts (unless they are super sweet...) and instead get awesome dodgeball customized medals for the top three teams. Or even get sweet dodgeball allstar medals.
Also, if we do the current pick out of a hat thing then I think it should be everyone from one team plays on the same allstar team. But it would be even cooler to divide us into two "conferences" and make teams basically like last year, but with a broader area than Michigan.
Also also, Bomis makes a good point.
