Spencer, apparently Zigmas is going to send a message to all captains and they are going to vote for what their team wants. So don't be surprized if it doesn't get changed to the 3-4-3.

I think 3-4-3 is going to be the best since some kid is going to get wrecked going for the middle without a ball. I think the 3-4-3 will make the even more exciting than what we have now since there is going to be so much more intensity as to which team is going to get the 4 balls in the middle. And its also going to be safer since there will be no more dodgeballers running into each other. Also more strategy is going to develop right from the beginning. You can't just have a fast team and get ball advantage, you have to have a plan and be sneakier.

If we are going to do 3-4-3 than we should at least start with the three balls in our teams hands instead of being on the line = 3-0-4-0-3. If any of you have practiced the 3-4-3 it just turns into a huge cluster F in the middle of the court, there is no strategy, and people are going to get recked.
If you want to vote for 3-4-3 think about the 3-0-4-0-3 instead. It's a much better design and will allow for a better possibility for making strategy a big part of getting the ball advantage.

Yeah, but your still going to have those people running up to the four balls in the middle. If you make them run to the front 3 and stop, there will be no running into each other at the middle 4.

Ya if its 3-0-4-0-3 big arms can run up and get a crow hop and then launch the ball into the middle. 3-4-3 makes the big arms pick up the ball before throwing it.

0-3-4-3-0 does kind of result in a mess. But it is a LOT of fun.

Haven't seen anyone bring this up, but since there's only going to be three or four balls on a line (assuming that's how you guys go about it), how do you guys plan to place them? Are you going to put all four on the midline close to each other? Are you going to place one on each sideline and evenly distribute the other two? Something else?

i awkwardly wrote in the proposed rules that "Balls should be placed in order to minimize tripping hazards for halfcourt running paths." I'll edit the court diagram when the vote goes through.
