So, each of our wins from Saturday will correspond to 7 points being added to our regular season standing NHL points to determine our seeding for Sunday's bracket play?

So just throwing this out there.. Since we're undermanned, you guys won't mind if McCarthy and Sweet play for us this weekend... Right?

I just don't think it's fair that the teams that don't get to play as often due to their geographic location will not be able to get higher than about a 10 seed, because let's be honest, the top 8 teams are not going to lose all their games allowing the bottom half to have the opportunity to get a 6th or 7th seed.
And actually, going back to the predictions made about the pool play from the podcasts, selection show broadcast, and online content, I don't think the ranking will change much at all if we just add points to the current standings.

If you have a bus that is coming ask Zac for parking instructions as you probably can not park in the parking structure.

DePaul has 6 points now, they won the match against Moody. We should go between Miami and WKU. Also, BGSU has 5 points not 4.
Here are the correct rankings and sortings:
1 Kent 42 0.7500 2 UK 32 0.9412 3 JMU 30 0.7778 4 SVSU 27 0.7059 5 MSU 25 0.6471 6 GVSU 20 0.9091 7 OSU 8 0.3636 7 CMU 8 0.3636 9 TU 8 0.3077 10 WKU 6 0.3000 11 DePaul 6 0.2727 12 Miami 6 0.2000 13 BGSU 5 0.1333 14 UWP 4 1.0000 15 NSULA 0 0.0000 16 PSU 0 0.0000

I feel like there should be more emphasis put on Saturdays games. The way it is set up now Kent could literally forfeit all of their games just to be fresh for Sunday and they would still be in the top 3. The games against the MISC should count as real games too because, again, why even try if you already know you "won".
The 80/20 percentage system we used at WKU made a lot more sense. All of the teams that go 3-0 on Saturday end up being the "1 seeds" (as they should) and are then separated by the 20% used from the season standings.
This method makes every game matter on Saturday so all of the teams are equally tired come the elimination bracket on Sunday.

Thank you Zac Brown and all of UK for hosting this year!!! We had a great time and I think everything ran rather smoothly. Congrats to GVSU for their title this year! And congrats to MSU for their performance in the final game and their first ever title match! I know I speak for all of WKU when I say thank you to all of the alumni for helping this year, this tournament would not have gone as smoothly without all of you. The alumni helped everything from refereeing to commentating to coaching to filming games to helping broadcast the first ever national championship game LIVE!!! I consider this league my family and I know I'm excited as hell for next season!!

All NCDA voting is open (one submission per team) and each submission gets 30 selections, as there will be a First Team and a Second Team. It's for the players at the Nationals Tournament who made the biggest impact on their games. You also get a vote for NCDA MVP. Email me ( hillers1@msu.edu ) if you want to vote.
