Spencer-Yes, we want to use Alumni refs for the majority of the reffing. We will probably have to rely upon some captains to step up and run the shot clock for a few matches if we don't get enough. We are going to pay for all refs.

How much are we getting paid if you don't mind me asking? SVSU took very good care of us last year so I'm curious.

Ahh f*** I can't remember off the top of my head, but I had a pay scale for the kind of games they reffed. I think it was $10 per game for day 1, $12 for the Elite 8 games, $15 for the Final Four games, and $20-25 for the Championship game. Its all up to you and you budget, I also know I threw some extra cash in everyone's checks because SVSU had some left over club funds and all the refs performed great and I had no complaints about reffing. (I know right?) God #1 how much was your final check total if you don't mind me asking? I think everyone made close to $125 for a weekend of work, which is a steal haha. But well deserved.

Those were the officials' rates when we had nationals at WKU in 2011. The only exception was, those referees didn't deserve it haha. We spent a total of $678.25 on officials for nationals that year, that also includes a total of 21 hours of training prior to nationals though.

Honestly God #2, I don't remember, I really was trying to think about it but somewhere around $125-$150.

Hahaha this question wouldn't have anything to do with this great debate we have going on eh?

No, we will probably wait until all of the teams have committed to coming to Nationals before we decide a format. (20 teams versus 4 teams in an All-Star Game might not be balanced.) But, we are already trying to come up with something!

You have to give the game inherent stakes to make it interesting. Republicans vs. Democrats anyone?

Zac, is the idea of a JV tournament or play-off still in the mix of things? We would be interested in this if it is!

Probably not. Not enough courts. I am struggling to get court space for 20 teams and working to get it up to 24 right now.

We would have finals at Rupp if every team was willing to pay a $5,000 entry fee. Haha
